One-Stop Recycling Scheme Solution

HKSAR Government RVM Pilot Scheme Stage 3
Stage 3 of the HKSAR Government’s Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) Pilot Scheme was launched in December 2023 for a two-year period. The initiative provides the public with convenient recycling options through 120 RVMs installed across Hong Kong for collecting plastic beverage containers. To encourage participation, users receive a rebate of HK$0.10 per bottle or may choose to donate it to charities.
All collected containers are delivered to suitable local recyclers, ensuring that waste is responsibly converted into valuable resources and advancing Hong Kong’s circular economy goals.
HKSAR Government RVM Pilot Scheme Stage 4
Building on the success of the Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) Pilot Scheme Stage 3, ALBA CES has been awarded the HKSAR Government’s RVM Pilot Scheme Stage 4. The scheme was launched in December 2025 for a two-year period. As the incumbent operator, we will continue to provide convenient public recycling services through RVMs across Hong Kong.
All collected plastic beverage containers will be responsibly delivered to suitable local recyclers, reinforcing circular economy practices and advancing the city’s sustainability goals.

RVM Deployment

Environment and Conservation Fund BEC Beverage Bottles & Cartons: Return to Renew
With the funding support from the Environment and Conservation Fund, Business Environment Council Limited (“BEC”) as the organiser launched a Project named “Environment and Conservation Fund BEC Beverage Bottles & Cartons: Return to Renew”. This project brings Multi‑stream Reverse Vending Machines (“RVMs”) to different locations in Hong Kong. Eight RVMs are installed and operated by ALBA Circular Economy Solutions Limited (“ALBA CES”) as part of this initiative. These machines make recycling easier by allowing you to return plastic beverage containers and beverage cartons together in one RVM.

To encourage recycling, the machines offer rewards such as mobile app points.
Leading beverage producer collection service for
paper carton boxes
This business initiative, in collaboration with a leading beverage producer, focuses on the collection of beverage cartons in Hong Kong. As part of the program, two reverse vending machines (RVMs) have been deployed in Tin Shui Wai and Tuen Mun.
These machines provide the public with convenient recycling options, supporting sustainable practices and contributing to the development of a circular economy in the region.

RVM in a high-tech plant
A major aero engines company has upgraded its recycling operations by utilizing our new Reverse Vending Machine service. The machine efficiently collects aluminum beverage cans and plastic bottles directly onsite, providing a convenient solution that streamlines recycling processes.
This initiative supports sustainable practices while ensuring resources are responsibly managed and integrated into the circular economy.
Waste & Recyclable Collection
Collection at a mega sports complex
As part of a plastic bottle collection initiative at a mega sports complex in Hong Kong, our team collaborates with a leading bottled water brand to manage the collection of bottles from designated recycling bins. The project is designed to promote recycling and reduce single‑use plastic waste disposal in high‑traffic public areas.
Through our involvement, we ensure proper recycling of collected bottles while reinforcing responsible environmental practices and supporting the city’s sustainability goals.
